My brakes hit metal on metal - yikes! I called Certified Transmission in the morning hoping they could squeeze me in. They could and provided transportation to and from work. I was expecting a major expense for brake replacement front and rear on my all wheel drive CRV based on an internet cost search. To my surprise only the rear brakes needed replacement - front were fine. I was informed that a valve gasket needed replacement (which explained the occasional burnt oil smell after parking in the garage) and recommended changing spark plugs at the same time to save labor costs. Since the spark plugs had never been changed on my 9 year old vehicle, it was a no brainer and I also threw in an oil change. The total cost was well under what I had expected for just brake repairs and now have peace of mind knowing my CRV is in safe driving condition.
